Paxton clammed up when asked about Texas' THC ban, saying, "Uhm. I don't know the details of it. Let's talk later," before leaving. Journalist Aaron Rupar noted Paxton is being sued for trying to enforce Texas' ban to the maximum extent possible. Podcaster Joe Rogan said going after marijuana would hurt Paxton's chances against Talarico.
