Russia's Federal Security Service detained an underage Russian citizen on Sunday on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve in southern Moscow.

The detention occurred one day after the United States Embassy in Moscow issued a public security notice warning of a credible threat regarding a mass-casualty event at the palace and park complex. The security service confirmed that American law enforcement supplied the operational intelligence through established partner communication channels and publicly thanked United States authorities for the information.

Investigators reported that the suspect posted material on TikTok depicting himself wearing tactical equipment, glasses, headphones, and a cap while displaying an object resembling an automatic firearm, accompanied by photographs of the Tsaritsyno grounds captioned with the phrase that he found a location. State media subsequently broadcast footage in which the detained teenager acknowledged posting material that promoted fascism, Nazism, and violence directed against ethnic minorities and migrants.

Operating alongside the National Guard, the Interior Ministry, and the Investigative Committee, security forces searched the teenager's residence and recovered clothing and gear matching the online images. Russia's Investigative Committee is reviewing the evidence to determine formal charges, while authorities have withheld the suspect's name due to his status as a minor.
