Terry Strada, a 9/11 widow and national chair of 9/11 Families United, accused Saudi Arabia of complicity in the September 11, 2001, terror attacks during the annual reading of victims' names at ground zero in New York City.

Strada stated that "25 years, and still we have no justice" for Saudi Arabia's alleged role, accusing the kingdom of having fomented a rancid culture of anti-American terrorism and sending agents to support the radical Islamic hijackers. She criticized administration after administration for choosing to protect the Saudis and called on President Donald Trump to change that, asking Vice President JD Vance to convey the message.

Former presidents George W Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden were present. The attacks killed 2,753 people. Satellite images showed a smoke plume, nearly 100 kilometers long, and sustained thermal hotspots along Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline corridor southeast of Medina. NASA fire data recorded heat readings above 70 megawatts. An Iranian account, hormuzletter, posted Sentinel-3 imagery of the plume.

Saudi authorities have not confirmed any incident on the pipeline, which moves crude 1,200 kilometers from the Eastern Province to Yanbu on the Red Sea, offering an export path around the Strait of Hormuz. Iran-aligned Houthi fighters previously battered Aramco sites with drones and ballistic missiles this week, wounding 73 people. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized unified strategic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, following a phone call between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

They agreed on continuing, strengthening, and deepening consultations, with Abdelatty stating the security of the Kingdom is integral to the security of Egypt. A massive attack by Yemen’s Houthis on Saudi Arabia has become the first serious test for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, a defense pact between Riyadh, Ankara, and Islamabad established a month ago.
