A suicide bombing killed 12 people at a checkpoint near Balochistan in Pakistan. The attack in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killed at least 12 people and wounded 30 others.

Most of the victims were security personnel. One report states 13 killed and dozens injured. One rescue worker died when an ambulance transporting bodies from the blast came under fire. Two rescue workers were killed and another injured in the ambulance attack. The deceased from the blast included nine men, two women, and a minor.

DI Khan Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashir Maken clarified that no Pakistan Army or police soldiers were among the deceased from the initial blast, but a Customs official and civilians were. An unidentified attacker rammed a vehicle laden with explosives, described as a tractor trolley, into the Aman Mela police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan's Darazinda tehsil on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

DI Khan District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed confirmed it was a suicide blast. The blast destroyed a large portion of the checkpost. Dera Ismail Khan, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near Pakistan's border regions with Afghanistan, has been repeatedly affected by Islamist militant violence. Islamist militants, led by the TTP, have maintained attacks on police and the army in northwestern Pakistan. There are slight discrepancies in the reported death toll, with some sources stating 12 and others 13.
