Tucker Carlson Praises Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed as 'Trumpian'

Tucker Carlson praised Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, calling his platform literally Trumpian and stating he would not vote for El-Sayed's GOP rival Mike Rogers at gunpoint.

Carlson's comments followed podcaster Saagar Enjeti's description of El-Sayed's campaign as "America First," noting his stance on Israel and opposition to US tax dollars funding foreign military actions. El-Sayed triumphed over Rep. Haley Stevens in August’s primary, despite her being outspent nine-to-one after receiving $30 million from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Meanwhile, Cenk Uygur, uncle of El-Sayed's ally Hasan Piker, had his chair break during an interview while defending Piker and discussing Middle East issues.

Uygur was confronted by Ronna McDaniel, who cited Piker's past comment that "America deserved 9/11." Uygur also called for Democrats who opposed El-Sayed to be stripped of leadership positions, labeling them traitors and claiming they work for Trump and Republicans. Senator John Fetterman challenged El-Sayed to appear with Hasan Piker on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, offering $50,000 per rally, and called El-Sayed a socialist who absolutely loves Sharia Law. Townhall uncovered deleted posts from El-Sayed from 2020-2022, where he compared COVID deaths to "64 9/11s" and included terrorists in his calculations of 9/11 deaths.

El-Sayed is scheduled to appear at the Islamic Society of North America’s annual convention alongside Uygur and Zaid Shakir, a "9/11 truther." Beverly Aikins, Vice President Vance's mother, said she would probably punch El-Sayed for past comments insinuating Vance's grandfather would reject his Indian-heritage wife.
