Yemen's Houthi rebels launched new attacks on Saudi Arabia, striking the headquarters of national oil giant Aramco in Dhahran and targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

The Saudi-led coalition announced it intercepted a ballistic missile over Riyadh on Wednesday. The Houthis vowed to continue targeting Saudi airports and oil infrastructure in retaliation for "Saudi aggression" against Yemen's capital, Sanaa. The Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed a limited fire in an administrative building at Aramco's headquarters, with no casualties reported. The Saudi Arabian Football League postponed three fixtures, including one involving Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, due to the escalation.

The Houthis stated they launched ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones at Aramco facilities and airports. The latest round of fighting was triggered by Houthi strikes on Riyadh's international airport over the weekend, which killed 13 people and suspended operations. White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett attributed disappointing September inflation numbers to attacks on Saudi oil assets.

President Trump has stated he is considering joining attacks on the Houthis, while the rebels have threatened to target U.S. personnel if strikes are ordered. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking Saudi approval to join the campaign against the Houthis, a proposal that has met with reluctance in Riyadh.
