The family of William Chapman, who died on Saturday after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, has urged people to stop sharing footage of the attack, stating it causes them severe distress.

Their plea came after U.S. President Donald Trump shared a video of the fatal incident on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday, accompanied by the message don’t ever mess with nature! President DJT. Trump later posted an AI-generated video depicting himself taming a tiger. Chapman, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family described him as a bright, warm and engaging young man who had suffered from mental illness for several years, adding that it was for the coroner to determine if his medical history played a role in his death.

The park confirmed the Amur tiger, named Altai, would not be euthanized, and local authorities have launched a health and safety investigation. The park remains closed. Piers Morgan called Trump's posts appallingly tasteless, and Carole Malone stated, "You don't joke about young men dying at the hands of tigers." Will Travers of the Born Free Foundation described the AI post as not only incredibly insensitive but also reckless, increasing risks to humans and animals.
