A Russian attack on Kremenchuk on October 7 injured 47 people, including two children, and killed two individuals, according to Vitalii Diakivnych, Head of Poltava Oblast Military Administration.

Five apartment buildings with 431 flats and 35 houses were damaged in Kremenchuk, and six houses were destroyed. Across Ukraine, Russian strikes killed at least 24 people, including four children, on October 7. Three of the children killed in Pryluky were one year old (Oleksandr, Kyrylo, Serhii), and another was eight years old (Maksym). Seven children are among the injured in Pryluky, and 15 people, including one child, were rescued from the site.

Rescue workers continue to clear rubble and search for unaccounted individuals. President Zelenskyy stated that Russia's continued missile use against Ukraine is a deliberate choice of terror, and he called on international partners to increase pressure on Moscow and strengthen defense support for Ukraine. He said Russia fired at least 50 missiles and 130 drones overnight.

The strikes also targeted Kyiv, Dnipro, and Oleksandriya. In Kyiv, two people died in a fire caused by a strike in the Darnytskyi neighborhood, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. An unexploded Russian Iskander missile was found in a Kyiv district. Two people were also killed in Oleksandriya. The Russian Defense Ministry stated its forces targeted Ukrainian facilities producing and storing long-range weaponry, including sites tied to the FP-5 Flamingo missile in Kyiv, Chernihov, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, and Kharkov Regions.

The ministry claimed the strike on Pryluky targeted an industrial facility producing and storing Flamingo missile components. Ukraine's Air Force reported air defenses destroyed five ballistic missiles, 39 cruise missiles, and 117 drones since the previous evening. Three days of mourning have been declared in Pryluky from October 7 to 9.
