Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky will lead the Russian team.

The delegation includes Deputy Foreign Ministers Sergei Ryabkov and Mikhail Galuzin, military intelligence chief Igor Kostyukov, and senior General Staff officer Yury Zhigarlovsky. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's delegation will be led by Rustem Umierov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, alongside Kyrylo Budanov and Davyd Arakhamiia. This diplomatic preparation coincides with a wave of overnight missile and drone strikes across Ukraine.

Zelenskyy reported that Russian forces launched 36 missiles, targeting energy infrastructure across 12 regions and utilizing North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles. Strikes in Kyiv hit the Pivnichnyi Bridge and damaged residential buildings, a kindergarten, and private houses in the Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi districts. Attacks also struck industrial enterprises in Kremenchuk. Local authorities confirmed that at least nine people were wounded across the country, with power blackouts and water supply disruptions reported in the capital. The upcoming Abu Dhabi meeting marks the first round of U.S.-mediated trilateral negotiations between Ukraine and Russia since February.
