Delhi Police have implemented extensive security measures and traffic restrictions across the capital ahead of a planned protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on October 10.

More than 20,000 security personnel, including 7,000 CRPF personnel mobilized from West Bengal and Chhattisgarh, are deployed. The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all states and Union Territories to coordinate with Delhi Police and take preventive measures to stop CJP supporters from mobilizing towards Delhi. Internet services will be suspended within a 4-kilometer radius around the Janpath, Kartavya Path crossing from 10 p.m. on October 9 to 10 p.m. on October 10.

Entry and exit at these 45 stations will remain closed from 9 p.m. on October 9 to 6 p.m. on October 10, though interchange facilities will be available except at New Delhi station. The CJP protest, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral roll irregularities, was denied permission by Delhi Police due to short notice and past concerns.

The Supreme Court has directed authorities to ensure no complete prohibition on metro and railway services, emphasizing that public safety measures must be proportionate. Delhi's retail liquor shops will also be closed on October 9 and 10 as a preventive measure.
