The July survey showed 38 percent approval and 61 percent disapproval, a net of -23. Costas Panagopoulos, a professor of political science at Northeastern University, cautioned against over-interpreting the small pool of parent voters but suggested the polling could indicate growing parental concern over Trump's economic and foreign policy choices. A Washington Post/Ipsos poll found nearly 2 in 3 Americans, or 65 percent, feel dissatisfied or upset about Trump’s D.C. renovation projects, leaving him 33 points underwater. Among independent voters, 73 percent were dissatisfied or upset, placing him 52 points underwater on these projects. A CBS News/YouGov poll also found 64 percent of Americans believe Trump focuses too much on D.C. projects.
