Russian Attacks Kill Four, Including Child, in Kyiv Region

Russian attacks killed at least four people, including a child, on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital.

A fire at Russia's Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region was extinguished on Saturday, with local authorities stating it was caused by debris from an Ukrainian drone. Local officials confirmed four people, including a child, died in the Kyiv region. Ukraine's air defenses struggle to counter drone and missile barrages.

Ukraine is chronically short of air defense munitions, making it difficult for air defense forces to intercept Russian ballistic missiles. Two grandparents and their 3-year-old grandson were killed after multiple Russian drones destroyed their home. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported fires and powerful explosions in two districts of Kyiv. Residents endure regular drone and missile barrages. The attacks continue amid Moscow's four-year-old full-scale invasion.
