Vance Addresses Jewish Republicans, Discusses Apocalypse, Defends Trump

US Vice President JD Vance delivered a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas on August 31, attempting to clarify his stance on the US-Israel relationship and the rise of antisemitism.

Rabbi Jen Lader of the Reform synagogue stated the meeting was at Vance's request, and they asked for his support in fighting antisemitism and for additional security funding through the Jewish American Security Act. Vance invited a rabbi and security guard to a rally in Sterling Heights, Michigan, on Monday, calling them out from the podium.

During an interview with Christian podcaster Bryce Crawford, Vance stated he is ok if his actions lead to the apocalypse. He noted he does not like to dwell on the apocalypse too much, calling it spiritually bad to focus on it. Vance said he is unsure if they are living in the end times, but that he would not be shocked if the Antichrist was walking among them.

He added that he is focusing on doing as much of God’s work as possible and if that leads to the end times, OK. Vance also claimed to sense spiritual darkness from world leaders. Vance defended Donald Trump regarding an AI Jesus post, stating Trump did not mean to mock God. Vance's answer to a question about conservative pundit Tucker Carlson left some in the Republican Jewish Coalition audience disappointed.

He did not distance himself from Carlson, whose close relationship with Vance has been a point of contention for the group. He sought to win over pro-Israel Republicans hesitant to support him for a possible 2028 presidential campaign.
