Looksmaxxing Influencer Clavicular Charged With Rape, Drugging Teenager
The Story
Authorities filed charges this month in Orleans District Court against online influencer Clavicular, whose given name is Braden E. Peters.
Peters, 20, faces charges of rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and procuring alcohol for someone under 21. He is scheduled for arraignment on October 14. The alleged assault occurred on May 23, 2025, at Peters’ parents' home in Chatham, Cape Cod. The alleged victim was 17 at the time. Police reports state Peters was broadcasting a livestream video in his bedroom and instructed the teenager to lie on the stream, saying she was 18 and that alcohol was water.
The teenager told police she became flirty after consuming vodka Peters offered her, and they kissed on stream. She stated they later made out on a couch after the stream ended. She woke up to Peters “having sex with me” and did not tell him to stop because it was already occurring. She advised she did not consent to the sexual intercourse and had no intention of having sex with him.
The charges were filed on September 8, 2026. Police tried to call Peters twice in August but he did not pick up. A supplemental police report states Peters has not reached out to the Chatham Police Department regarding the case. Peters gained notoriety for promoting “looksmaxxing,” a trend among young men involving measures to increase physical attractiveness.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “looksmaxxing” as “The practice of taking one or more sometimes extreme or dangerous measures intended to increase one’s physical attractiveness.” Peters has over 1 million social media followers. He was sued in April by a teenage influencer in Florida, Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, who accused him of battery. Mendoza's lawsuit alleged Peters injected her with an unapproved substance during a livestream without her consent and exploited her image. Her lawsuit also alleged nonconsensual sexual encounters at Peters' family home on Cape Cod while she was intoxicated.
