Swiss Police Arrest 43-Year-Old Man in Deadly Rave Shooting

Swiss police arrested a 43-year-old Swiss man on Monday in connection with a deadly shooting at a rave in Aarau over the weekend.

Police stated the man is the sole perpetrator of the crime. The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning at an annual rave held at a covered horse race track in Aarau, capital of Switzerland's northern Aargau canton. A 22-year-old Italian woman was killed in the incident. Five other people were injured, aged between 24 and 31.

The arrest was made on strong suspicion of being behind the gun attack. The Corriere del Ticino reported the arrest was made by cantonal police as part of the investigation. Roses were placed by local residents in memory of the victim of the shooting.
