Harvard Law professor Richard Lazarus explained that President Trump challenges the bounds of the court's opinions, particularly concerning Fed member Lisa Cook's firing and birthright citizenship. Last week, President Trump issued a new executive order purporting to strip citizenship from some Americans. This action follows a similar executive order issued last year that also attempted to strip citizenship from many Americans born in the country.

President Trump is searching for the Supreme Court’s breaking point on birthright citizenship, according to one report. His administration has previously engaged in efforts to challenge established interpretations of citizenship.
