A total of 4,247 people are missing in Nepal, including 85 security personnel and 320 foreigners. The disaster, which devastated towns and villages in northern and central Nepal, is believed to have been triggered by a collapse or avalanche of ice and rock near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26.
