The temporary restraining order was granted on September 22. She’s Alive, the entity managing Parton’s professional property and business, filed the request in Nashville.

Danny Nozell, Parton’s longtime manager, runs She’s Alive. Seaver, who owned a company providing Parton’s security detail for 20 years, was handpicked by Parton to announce her death last month. She’s Alive terminated Seaver and Squadron Augmented Protection Services last week, stating his terrorizing conduct made their continued retention untenable. Court documents showcase text messages and emails She’s Alive says were sent by Seaver starting just before Parton’s death.

The messages allegedly began with threats to destroy the brand, and after her death, depicted Seaver reveling in newfound fame and calling himself an international arms dealer. In one message from September 1, Seaver allegedly wrote, "I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnerships and telling the violations these people have done on us. It’s going to be great. Or f,, pay me."

Seaver also claimed he worked for private military contractors overseas during the Iraq War and used that experience as part of these threats. He allegedly told a lawyer for Parton, "I’m a killer," and told Nozell, "I’m literally an international arms dealer and mercenary. All I do is warfare. Everyone needs to be worried about what I might do." Seaver also allegedly claimed he made a $27 million arms and ammunition deal with Haiti.
