Tucker Carlson Warns United States Might Launch Nuclear Strike on Iran
The Story
Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson claimed on social media that the United States administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Carlson stated that the target would be Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence asserts the government resumed a nuclear enrichment program. According to Carlson, no conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of granite to destroy the underground tunnels, leaving a nuclear strike as the only military option. Carlson asserted that Netanyahu is pressing for military action to secure political survival and form a 61-seat majority government following recent election results.
The claims drew sharp responses from advocacy groups, including the National Iranian American Council, which urged President Donald Trump to immediately and unequivocally rule out any use of nuclear weapons against Iran. Policy analysts and commentators questioned the reliability of the claims, noting the absence of named American officials or documentary evidence supporting the assertion.
The White House and the Pentagon have not confirmed any change in nuclear doctrine. Trump previously stated in an interview that he would not use nuclear weapons. The reports circulated on the eve of the United States midterm elections, amid ongoing regional conflict and diplomatic discussions regarding de-escalation and the Strait of Hormuz.
