Several retired Israel Defense Forces generals are publicly denouncing their government for permitting settlers to wage violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. Ephraim Sneh, retired brigadier general and former minister of health, described settler attacks as ethnic cleansing. Asaf Agmon, a retired Air Force general, likened the attacks to pogroms and said Israeli government support bodes ill for Israel's future.
