JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results, Clarifies Underage Admission Conditions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results for all underage candidates for viewing on September 5, 2026. JAMB clarified that viewing the results does not automatically qualify a candidate for admission. An underage candidate is defined as any applicant who will be below 16 years of age as of September 30, 2026. Candidates can check results by sending "RESULT" to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number registered for UTME. Candidates who do not meet these conditions have been warned against presenting their results to institutions or individuals to obtain admission outside the approved process. The admission process for exceptional underage candidates is still ongoing, with some stages of assessment and verification yet to be completed. Candidates awaiting their National Examinations Council results will also be allowed to present them for verification before the final assessment. The stringent process is designed to separate genuinely exceptional underage candidates from those who simply performed well in the UTME.
