Israeli forces conducted strikes across Gaza on Wednesday, the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks, resulting in the deaths of at least four Palestinians.

Among the casualties were a Palestinian Civil Defence rescue volunteer killed in an air strike near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, and a 60-year-old man killed in a drone strike in Khan Younis. Another Palestinian teenager died from wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike, and a fourth fatality was reported in a Khan Younis refugee camp.

In Gaza, Palestinians continue to live amidst the destruction of war, with many residing in tent camps. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani marked the anniversary by accusing Israel of ongoing genocide in Gaza, claiming over 74,000 Palestinians have been killed, including 21,000 children, and that over 1,400 Palestinians have died since a ceasefire took effect last year.

Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, denounced Mamdani's statement as an attempt to attack Israel. A ceasefire that began in October 2025, part of a U.S. peace plan, has not led to a resolution, with disarmament and Israeli withdrawal steps remaining unfinished.
