President Donald Trump stated there is zero chance he will replace White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, calling reports of him considering successors fake news.

Trump described Wiles as phenomenal, smart, and tough, and credited her with their administration's most successful first two years. He asserted Wiles has his "COMPLETE confidence" and will be in his administration for a long time. Trump's comments came after a Politico report suggested he was weighing candidates to succeed Wiles, including Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, New York Yankees President Randy Levine, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Trump called the Politico report "TOTAL FAKE NEWS" and stated the outlet doesn't care about facts, integrity, or honest journalism. The report also detailed a power struggle between Wiles and Natalie Harp, with Trump reportedly soliciting opinions on Wiles. An insider described the White House as being in a state of panic, with Wiles looking over her shoulder.

Some officials have questioned Wiles' oversight of the political operation, while Trump has faulted James Blair's handling of campaign funds. A biographer suggested Trump's public defense of Wiles could be a kiss of death for her position after the midterms.
