Israeli President Pardons Soldier; Palestinian Gunman Kills Israeli, Soldiers Kill Motorist
The Story
Israeli President Isaac Herzog pardoned former soldier Elor Azaria on Saturday night, erasing his criminal record.
His criminal record was set to be cleared in 2032. Separately, a Palestinian gunman shot dead an Israeli man in the occupied West Bank on Sunday. The Israeli man, in his 40s, was killed in a drive-by shooting near Neveh Tzuf (Halamish) in the Binyamin region of Samaria. Israeli forces launched a pursuit of the attacker and established roadblocks.
Israeli soldiers killed a motorist near Ramallah. The IDF is preparing a mass-arrest operation in the West Bank Palestinian village of Biddu, the hometown of the Neveh Tzuf terrorist. Israeli forces raided Biddu and besieged worshippers at a mosque during afternoon prayers. Israeli checkpoint closures prevented over 100 Palestinian teachers from reaching schools in the West Bank.
