Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Joins Fox News as Contributor
The Story
Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt joins Fox News as an on-air contributor, with her new role set to begin on November 1.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott stated that Leavitt's firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today's political landscape. Leavitt, 29, said she looks forward to bringing her unique perspective, energy, and candor to Fox's viewers. She was the youngest person to hold the role of press secretary and earned an annual salary of $195,200 in that position.
Leavitt stepped down from the Trump administration at the end of August, stating she wanted to spend more time with her two children, including her daughter Viviana, born in May, and her two-year-old son Niko. President Donald Trump described her as one of his most trusted aides and said she would remain a top outside advisor and an influential voice within the Republican Party. Fox News agreed to build a studio in Leavitt's New Hampshire home for her new role.
