Prince Harry has returned to Britain partly to make his own film about his mother, Princess Diana, according to royal expert Richard Kay. Kay claimed Harry has begun approaching Princess Diana's old friends, asking them to contribute to the project, which will occupy him during his first year back in Britain. Next year marks the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death in Paris in August 1997. Kay predicted this anniversary will bring Diana's legacy back into focus and strain the already fractured relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry. The brothers have reportedly not spoken for nearly four years and were last seen together publicly at Charles's Coronation in May 2023. Kay stated that Diana has dominated the thinking of both William and Harry for the last ten years. He noted that the brothers were last really in step when they worked together on the "Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy" documentary in 2017. Harry's plans for another film will throw up that old canard with people always link[ing] Harry to Diana, Kay predicted. He emphasized that Diana was the mother of two boys, implying William is equally her son. Harry's alleged project has left Prince William with intense frustration, according to Kay. Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle, 45, along with their son Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, recently left their home in Montecito, California, for an extended stay in Britain. They reportedly plan to settle in the Cotswolds, an affluent countryside region in south-central England. Meghan Markle's charity Smart Works is welcoming the Duchess of Sussex back to the UK. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Page Six that locals in the North Cotswolds are more wary than excited about the couple's return. Page Six reported that Prince William, 44, and his wife, Kate Middleton, plan to ignore the pair.
