Scottie Scheffler won the Tour Championship on Sunday, securing his second FedEx Cup title and concluding his 2026 campaign.
Following his victory at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Scheffler became the highest earner in professional golf history, surpassing Tiger Woods' career earnings standard that had stood for nearly 26 years. Scheffler earned a $10 million check for winning the FedEx Cup, adding to a season that included three victories and five runner-up finishes, with total earnings of $31 million before bonuses.
In his post-victory press conference, Scheffler mentioned enjoying a beer, stating it just sounded good and was a well-earned beer after the season concluded. He also offered praise for Golf Channel's Brandel Chamblee. Scheffler's win also put an end to narratives about him forgetting how to win during the 2026 season.
