Yemeni Forces Accuse Houthis of Deadly Missile Attack in Taiz Province
The Story
Military spokesperson Majed Al-Nuzaili described the strike as a war crime, asserting that the militia targets civilians following battlefield defeats.
Local authorities in Taiz confirmed casualties from the incident and stated that no military aircraft operated in Waziyah on Friday. Conversely, Houthi health ministry spokesperson Anees Alsabahi reported that airstrikes killed at least 20 people and wounded 15 others in the market, attributing the attack to the Saudi-led coalition. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that three airstrikes hit the market at around 7 a.m. The incident coincides with renewed fighting in Taiz province, where government forces backed by Saudi Arabia reported recapturing villages and districts including Al-Nidani, Al-Sarari, and Sanamat.
