The long-awaited heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is confirmed for December 11 in Cardiff.

Boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh announced the all-British £150 million fight will take place in the United Kingdom. Netflix will show the showdown live, with ring walks expected around 2 am. Netflix confirmed the fight will be available at no additional cost to subscribers, with general membership starting at £7.99 a month in the UK. Betfair makes Fury the early favorite at 8/15, with Joshua priced at 13/8.

Joshua tweeted, "I am inspiring a generation," alongside a British flag emoji. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, stated, "WE DID IT. Forever indebted to the U.K. public for their support of Anthony Joshua." Hearn also claimed Anthony Joshua's proposed first face-off with Tyson Fury next week is in major doubt following "SIX contract breaches." The fight was originally penciled in for November 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

A push from Joshua and Hearn led to renegotiated contracts to bring the fight to British soil. The Principality Stadium in Cardiff, with an 80,000-capacity, will host the event. Alalshikh stated, "For 15 years no one has been able to make this fight." He added, "I can now confirm that Fury Vs Joshua will be coming to the UK, as I promised British boxing fans."

The bout will be co-promoted by Turki Alalshikh's The Ring and Dana White's recently launched Zuffa Boxing. A news conference is planned for London next Wednesday. Fury, 37, last fought in July, stopping 46-year-old Mariusz Wach in the seventh round in Thailand in an untelevised bout. Joshua, 36, recovered from two first-round knockdowns to beat Kristian Prenga in the second round in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, two months ago.

Joshua's last fight was his first since surviving a car crash in Nigeria that claimed the lives of his friends Sina Ghami and Latif "Latz" Ayodele. Hearn described the Fury fight as hugely to Joshua's career, saying, "There is a desperation to win this fight." Both fighters were previously beaten by Oleksandr Usyk, who became the undisputed heavyweight champion.
