WSJ: Elon Musk Ordered Starlink Slowdown for Ukraine
SplitFactual rigor 55/100
The Story
Starshield services for Ukraine were reduced after an order from American businessman Elon Musk, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing American officials and familiar sources.
It is worth noting that Musk revealed that any order to reduce Starshield, the SpaceX-operated communications system, is made after a request from U.S. President Donald Trump. Starshield are important for Ukraine as it connects Ukrainian equipment and weapons to the system, which means any reduction in the services makes drones useless, the American newspaper explained.
