Farage Sacks Aides Amid Reform UK Foreign Donation Probe; Party Denies Wrongdoing

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage sacked two senior aides, Dan Jukes and James Orr, after a Channel 4 News undercover investigation.

The investigation, aired on Thursday, September 3, 2026, appeared to show Jukes, Farage's senior political adviser, and Orr, Reform's head of policy, discussing accepting foreign donations. Video evidence reportedly showed plans for Reform UK to accept a £500,000 donation from a foreign donor and a £32,500 donation in kind for pro-Reform polling from a US source.

Foreign companies are not a permissible source of funding for UK political parties, and accepting such donations could constitute a criminal offense. Farage claimed in an interview with the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday, September 6, that he wasn't even listening during the filmed conversations. Reform UK's Scottish leader Malcolm Offord claimed the scandal was fake news created by Channel 4.

The SNP, Labour, and LibDems have reported Reform UK to the police. Reform UK dismissed the entire operation as a hoax carried out by foreign-funded, climate change activists posing as would-be party donors. Robert Jenrick, tapped by Farage to lead the Treasury in a Reform government, vowed at the party's annual conference in Birmingham on Saturday, September 5, to raise the tax-free personal allowance to £15,000 within 100 days if elected, pledging to resign if he fails.
