The Story
Speaking at a press conference following the Russia-Africa summit on Thursday, Oct. 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre were right to call him despite criticism, arguing some Europeans want dialogue rather than Russia’s defeat. Although he voiced support for restoring ties with Europe, he warned that Moscow is ready for a war with the continent. However, there would be no winners in it, he said.
